Photon solar power inc.
Photon report on solar panels.
As you might imagine photons are not something that is seen by the human eye.
The photon laboratory began measuring the yield of solar modules already in 2004.
The aim of the project is to improve the efficiency of solar panels.
In this project the particle photon is interfaced with the voltage output pin of the solar panel lm 35 temperature sensor and ldr sensor to monitor the power output temperature and the incident light intensity respectively.
A solar panel is made up of several individual cells each with a positive and a negative layer which create an electric field thus the light with which we see and are warmed is made of photons.
But this video might help your pv vision.
The project is designed to supervise solar photovoltaic power generation to enhance the performance monitoring and maintenance of the solar plant.
The photon range is the result of this heritage combining decades of aggregated on orbit flight time and the latest in mechanical design techniques.
The measurements have been paused in 2016 and 2017 but are to be resumed in 2018.
In the meantime results are available for around 200 different module types for the period up to june 2015.
